Age and Residency Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age as of July 31st in the calendar year of the state competition and a high school graduate or equivalent by July 31 in the calendar year and no older than 25 as of December 31st in the calendar year she competes in the state competition of the year

If she graduates from high school and is 17 on July 31st, she competes as an Outstanding Teen.

Must be a United States Citizen.

Must be a bona fide resident of Georgia or a full-time student physically attending an accredited college or university located within Georgia or is employed and working full-time

To compete in a local competition, the candidate has to be a resident of Georgia for at least 30 days prior to the competition.

If there are no local competitions, the candidate must be a certified resident of Georgia at least 90 days prior to the state competition. To verify residency status, a candidate may use her driver's license, automobile registration, voter registration, property/mortgage/lease in her name or tax filings.
Residency is defined as the primary address where you physically live. Verification of residency includes a driver license, automobile registration, property mortgage or lease in your name, tax filings, etc.
